Computer Graphics Capabilities
We use PC's and the software programs CorelDraw , Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop as our primary graphics software. We accept artwork files that can be imported in any of these programs.
E-mailing files It is very difficult work with Email files sent at the normal defalt resolution, 75 DPI. Please save your files in the graphic program they were created in at 150 DPI to 300 DPI. Then attach these files to your Email. We can usually open most program files but not all. If there is problem, we will contact you. You can also compress your files using the program WinZip and we'll unzip them on our end.
If you are sending art to be used for screen printing we prefer vector type files. These are files that have been created in programs like CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator. Please convert all text files to curves prior to sending to us. This can be done by doing the following: Once you have completed your layout, select all text items and choose "BREAK APART" from the Arrange menu. Select all the text again and choose "CONVERT TO CURVES." Then save and e-mail us your file.
We also can use files created in Adobe Photoshop in their native .psd format. DO NOT FLATTEN, include all layers. You can also compress your files and we'll unzip them on our end.
If sending halftone images, keep in mind our preferred maximum dpi capability for printing on garments is 40 dpi for spot color and 55 dpi for full color process screen printing.
You can send us artwork files via e-mail to info@hisco.net or supply us with other media that is PC readable.
We use scanners with 1200 dpi optical (9600 interpolated) resolution. We output through 1200 dpi PostScript printers for creating positives for screen printing. So we can accommodate those individuals supplying hand drawn artwork.
